With a combined 1,000,000 acres in southeast Wyoming, the Medicine Bow National Forest is one of the finest snowmobiling playgrounds in the world.
Over 300 miles of groomed and ungroomed trails give you access to thousands of acres of open meadows, endless forests, and a wide variety of hills. Plus, no other area in Wyoming can boast more consistent powder!
Whether you bring your own snowmobile, rent one from us, or book a tour, you can ride right from Albany Lodge. With so many options for riding, there’s something for everyone—from beginner to expert riders. Stay on the groomed trails or adventure off and go boondocking or hill climbing at the Snowy Range’s Widowmaker and Rollercoaster.
The Medicine Bows offer much more than snowmobiling for the mountain enthusiast.
The Snowy Range Ski Area is just a short drive away. With abundant powder, a terrain park, and 27 trails, this ski area keeps skiers and snowboarders happy all day long.
The Snowy Range also provides ample opportunities for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing through snow covered trees and along frozen creeks. And for the avid fisherman, the Plains Lakes and Lake Owen are great for ice fishing. Don’t forget about the beautiful mountain vistas for the photographer and artist in you.
